Elina from Bodycare Luxuries contacted me to let me know about her handmade beauty products which can be purchased from http://www.bodycareluxuries.co.uk/ and to ask if I wanted to review some of something from the range to share with you. I did just that and also asked Elina a few questions so you can get to know more about the woman behind the yummy products.
Tell us a little about yourself?
Hello! My name is Elina and I’m a stay-at-home-mum to 2 wonderful boys who manage to hold my attention continuously and keep my hands busy most of the day. I consider myself blessed with opportunity to take care of my family and do what I like most – create luxurious treats for bath and body – at the same time!
What inspired you to set up your business?
I’ve always dreamed of starting my own business. I’ve been making bath-time goodies for quite some time now – mostly to spoil my friends, family and loved ones. It was when I was expecting my first child when I decided to give it a go and turn my passion into a real business. Of course it was overwhelming at the beginning – all the legal stuff, safety assessments, insurance etc. But this time there was nothing that could keep me back from turning my dream into a reality!
What is your favourite part about creating your products?
All my „creative process” is exciting and I’ll never get bored from it. But the most rewarding moment is to receive a positive feedback from my customers.
Where do you see yourself in five years time?
I would definitely love to open a shop. I would work on that and on wholesale orders, as well as on building a loyal customer base. These are my main priorities for the next few years.
I tested out the strawberry handmade body scrub which is truly scrumptious! You use dry hands to apply but make sure the skin is damp, then just rub in circular motions, you will feel like you are rolling in a strawberry field.
The salt scrub is suitable for all skin types but I would suggest not using it on any cuts, just in case it stings.
Definitely a lovely home made scrub that smells delicious and does the job of removing dead skin very well for the paltry price of £5.50!
