This week: Nars, House of Harlow, Boots and bla di bla di bla

NARS EOTD Recreation

A couple of weeks ago I went to Space NK and picked up the Nars Sugarland eyeshadow duo and Mekong single shadow. I tried to recreate the look that was done for me that day, just using the lighter colour from the Sugarland duo rather than the other colour that the makeup artist used on me (as I have no idea what that was)!

I think it went quite well, I used brown liner instead of black (the brown end of the 24/7 liner that came with my Urban Decay Naked Palette). I absolutely love those 24/7 liners and would wholeheartedly recommend them over all other liners for pigmentation on the lash-line and waterline. For example they make Benefit’s Bad Gal pencil look like the load of rubbish that it is.

House of Harlow Jewellery

House of Harlow is a range of jewellery by Nicole Ritchie. Putting aside Nicole’s bizarre lifestyle choices when she was friends with Paris Hilton I really do love her style and her look these days. The brands she designs for: Winter Kate and House of Harlow are both rather pricey for a lot of items but the jewellery is very reasonably priced and also very unusual.

Some items seem rather Aztec inspired, others are peacock related and another range I like has a lot of keys.

You can often find different items at different shops so here are some that sell it, Asos does as well but since they have such appalling customer service I refuse to shop with them any more so ..there! havetolove my-wardrobe

As much as I do love the jewellery from other brands this is my absolute favourite as it is gorgeous, brilliant quality and well priced and also my ears are so sensitive but I can wear these earrings all day with no allergy issues.

David and Goliath

I love this tshirt, it’s so true! I often pretend to be using the phone so people don’t talk to me, to get out of buying the big issue from the crazy pink dreadlock woman near work, so I don’t get attacked by clipboard wielding nutters etc. You can buy this and many other hilarious tshirts here

Boots Extracts Brazil Nut Body Butter

I bought this when I was in a rush and didn’t really think too much about it. But it turned out to be really delicious smelling and a brilliant moisturiser to boot! There are many different scents available and they all cost around £7.50 so quite a bit cheaper than the Body Shop butters which are quite similar so great value for money and it contains fairtrade ingredients.

This is obviously a thick buttery moisturiser but it sinks in really quickly and doesn’t leave your skin sticky, shiny or greasy. The Brazil Nut scent is gorgeous although not much like brazil nuts in my opinion, it smells more like shea or cocoa butter. As I have nearly finished I think I might pick up the shea butter version for winter as it is for dry skin and my legs are already getting really dry.

My Lovely Blouse

Hey it’s hard taking a picture of your own abdomen! This was from River Island and I have still seen it in shops but it’s not on the website any more, its brilliant with jeans and a vest underneath or tucked into high waisted trousers or a skirt for work.

Clothes I want!

In typical ‘me’ style I saved up for my winter boots, went to order them and they had sold out of my flipping size! Damn you All Saints you bloody pain in the arse!

So does anyone have any sort of inside scoop with All Saints? I want the Black Military Boots in a size 6 / 39.

So what have you been into this week? Found any nice winter clothes?
