Ren, Moroccan Rose Otto Body Wash
200 ml for £17
Ren products are always clean and pure, they smell gorgeous and the packaging is classy. The Moroccan Rose Otto body wash is no exception and it reminds me very much of the scent of the Dr Haushka rose products so if you love that you will adore this body wash. The shower gel contains no parabens, sulfates, mineral oil, petroleum, synthetic fragrance, glycols silicone’s or synthetic colours and is produced from roses picked in the Atlas mountains (I know someone from work who climbed them, that’s almost like doing it myself eh)? Haha!
Overall this is the most classy and sophisticated scented shower gel I think I have ever used. This is definitely a pampering one maybe before a posh night out as the scent is strong and does linger, definitely worth the slightly expensive price tag.
Korres Shower Gel in Bergamot Pear and Mint Tea
250ml for £8.00
It’s well known that I love Korres products and their shower gels are no exception. The products have brilliant packaging to take to the gym as the lid stays on and I’ve never had one leak, this alone makes it amazing. Add to that their lack of nasty ingredients or parabens and the fact that the scents are a little bit different to the usual. Mint tea is very fresh and clean but it also weirdly reminds me of the scent of Calvin Klein’s CK be fragrance! It’s definitely not a girly shower gel and could be shared with your other half without them smelling girly. Bergamot Pear is much more fruity and slightly more girly, I would use this more before a night out. The shower gel is really creamy and contains wheat proteins which are super moisturising and stop you getting that scaly look to your shins which I am always trying to get rid of. Overall this is a great everyday shower gel if you’re feeling like you want to spend a few more pounds than usual.
Sanex – Derma Repair
250ml £1.49
Sanex derma repair is a new shower cream which repairs everyday minor skin damage and is perfect for dry skin. The shower gel is designed to keep the skin’s natural PH level correct which means that it won’t get too dry and scaly and the allantoid is an emollient to help protect the skin. The shower gel is really reasonably priced and they have a special offer in Boots at the moment. I have really dry skin and sometimes have a flare up of eczema so I think this is perfect to keep in the cupboard or to use all the time if you are sharing a shower product with your children to ensure their skin is protected. It smells lovely and fresh too so an added bonus for hot days.
Radox Revive
250ml £1
Radox’s revive zesty shower gel is perfect for the mornings or if you’re having a shower at the gym after work and before a night out just to zing you back into action! The Mandarin and Lemongrass is my favourite out of the new collection of 3 shower gels as it is fruity but the lemongrass notes make it smell exotic. The shower is really low priced (£1-£1.99 depending on where you buy) and for the price it cannot be beaten. It’s great to sling in the gym bag, you’re also not going to be as cross if your fella steals it as you would with the Ren one! The lather is great although obviously this is not one of your SLS or paraben free type of shower gels so you need to read the label if you’ve got that super sensitive skin. As with all Radox products the scent isn’t super strong so this is a better shower gel if you don’t want the scent to linger after the shower and want to use you usual perfume.
Dove Go Fresh
250ml £1.20
Dove Go Fresh Body Wash is my absolute favourite ‘cheap’ body wash. It is always my go to body wash to buy if I haven’t got any review products in the cupboard or if I need to buy a spare for a holiday or a trip etc. I don’t have a particular favourite scent as I try and get a different one each time, at the moment I am using plum and sakura blossom which is very sweet and creamy. The body wash is a cream rather than a gel so it’s not drying and using as much fake tan as I do, well you need a bit of moisture or you go all scaly! This is definitely the best low cost moisturising shower gel I have found.
Palmolive – Mediterranean Moments
250ml £?
I was sent this Palmolive Mediterranean Moments Argan oil and almond milk shower cream to review and it is definitely a winner. I ADORE the Palmolive almond milk body wash, I love Argan oil – how could they go wrong – well with the weird 70’s packaging, but apart from that this product is an absolute gem and smells gorgeous, just gorgeous. This would be so lovely and creamy to take on holiday with you to soothe your skin if you’ve been in the sun. I am not 100% how much this will cost but Palmolive shower products are never overpriced. This is definitely the best new product I have tried.
So there you go, from old to new, cheap to expensive, these are my favourite products for the shower. What are yours?
