I did an internal squeak of excitement when the Glamour Summer Beauty Edit Box arrived on my desk on Friday as it’s created in collaboration with Alessandra Steinherr, Beauty Director of Glamour Magazine (maybe I have a little girl crush on her and her flawless skin). The box includes her 10 top beauty essentials for summer. Unlike most beauty boxes on the market, Latest In Beauty offer a non-subscription beauty box service, so you can just buy one of their boxes that they release seasonally in collaboration with top beauty personalities. Great if you aren’t into signing up to monthly subscriptions. This is the first box from Latest In Beauty that I have tried, and I was impressed.
The box is choc-a-block full of high end products and items you will actually use. It contains:
- 1x Vita Liberata Trystal Minerals in Sunkissed + full size
- 1x Pixi Glow Tonic
- 1x Nails inc Gel Effect Nail Polish
- 1x L’Occitane Aromachology Repairing Shampoo & Conditioner
- 1x Caudalie Divine Oil
- 1x Bourjois Color Boost Lip Crayon
- 1x Eucerin Sun Protection
- 1x Balance Me Super Toning Body Polish
- 1x Seekers of the Sun Temporary Tattoos
I am most excited about the inclusion of the Vita Liberata Trystal Minerals Self Tanning Bronzer. It looks like any other loose mineral powder, but is also a self-tanner! There is a crystallised version of the tanning agent DHA within the bronzer, that leaves you bronzed for up to 5 days. It also
comes with a matching mini kabuki which is perfect for travel. I shall be reviewing this separately as soon as I can.
The Pixi Glow Tonic seems to be a hot product in beauty blogging right now, it’s an exfoliating toner containing glycolic acid, perfect to use before your night-time serums and moisturisers to ensure they penetrate the skin well and give you an extra boost.
|Nails Inc Gel Effect Polish – Uptown|
This is the first Nail’s Inc Gel Effect nail polish I have tried, mine is in shade Uptown. I was pleasantly surprised by the depth of colour and the shine, it’s far superior to many other brands I have tried that claim to look like gel polish (and don’t).
I can add the L’Occitane Aromachology Repairing Shampoo & Conditioner to my large stash that I nabbed liberated from the Four Seasons Hong Kong, mostly because I adore the smell and the shiny finish you get. They are the perfect size for your gym bag.
I have never tried the Caudalie Divine Oil as the full size costs £27.00 for 100ml which always seemed a bit extravagant, so I am looking forward to using this as it is for face, body or hair.
The Bourjois Color Boost Lip Crayon I have is in shade Fuschia Libre and is worth £7.99 on it’s own, the whole box costs just £17.99 so it’s a total bargain as it’s full size. The colour is pigmented but still sheer and glossy, more of a casual lip colour than a strong bold lip.

The Eucerin SPF30 is perfect for your handbag. In the UK it can go from rainy to blaring sunshine within an hour and this is perfect to slap on your face, neck and hands if you pop out into the sun for your lunch break, or to keep handy if you have little ones as it’s got a nice high SPF.
The Balance Me super toning body polish is great to take on holiday to ensure your skin is beach ready and get rid of any dead skin before applying SPF. I have already got through a full size tube of this so I was pleased to see this as an addition to the box.
The box also contains some cool temporary tattoos from Sun Seekers that seem to be having a revival right now for festival season; I’m going to see if I can get away with them at work!
All of the picks are useful, good quality products and the mini sizes are the types of products you would actually want mini sizes of when travelling (SPF, shampoo and conditioner, bronzer) etc. The box is really great value.
The Glamour Summer Beauty Edit is worth over £90.00 but costs just £17.99! Buy from www.latestinbeauty.com
