NKD Skin Tanning Range is, if you will, a diffusion range from the well known brand Vita Liberata. NKD Skin is a luxe but affordable alternative to the regular and fairly pricey regular Vita Liberata range. The price point of the range is between £8.50 and £15.00 per item and the five fabulous products are so good you wouldn’t expect them to be reasonably priced.
The products in the range are the Tinted Tan Mousse in Medium and Dark (£14.95), Dark Tinted Tan Lotion (£14.95), Matte Wash Off Instant Tan in Medium and Dark (£8.50).
I tested out both the Medium Tinted Tan Mousse and the Dark Tinted Tan Lotion. I did find that they gave pretty much the same colour to be honest, the dark tan isn’t going to make you look ridiculously dark. The picture below shows me wearing the medium mousse and I really like the glow that it gives.
The mousse was a lot easier to apply than the liquid using the mitt and glove method however I do tend to pour whatever solution I have into my spray tan machine and use them that way I did try them both with the mitt to begin with as obviously most people don’t have a spray tan machine and tent at home in the spare room! The liquid comes out a bit too fast to make it mess-free when you’re using your mitt, it didn’t soak into the mitt quickly enough so kept dripping off onto the floor, lucky I have a tile floor really!
Price wise you get 100ml of the mousse and 75ml of the liquid tan for the same price so it definitely works out cheaper to buy the mousse tan.
I found the tan lasted a good 6 days and the wear off was quite even. The shade is more a golden brown for the medium tan and a reddish brown for the dark tan so you don’t get that orange tinge that you often get with lower price tans. I also like the packaging, I know it doesn’t make any difference to the product but still, I did think it looked classic and not like a cheap product.
