Inspired by Holly’s fabulous blog post on these eyeshadows I rushed to the counter and grabbed one of the Chanel Illusion D’Ombre eyeshadows in shade Epatant. Chanel released 6 shades and they are all part of the permanent collection. They cost £22.
The packaging is gorgeous and the brush it comes with is surprisingly useful. The formulation is a sort of spongy cream and it’s very unique.
It applies very sheerly but is quite pigmented. Above I just used a tiny wash of colour as it was for work. It lasted for the entire day (until 10pm when I took it off) and didn’t crease and I did not use a specific primer. I did use foundation and concealer over my eyelids as I normally do.
I used this as an eyeshadow and to line the inner part of the eye, there is a glittery black shade so this could be used as a proper eyeliner and would be a great consistency to do a winged liner look.
Overall I am seriously impressed and will probably buy another pretty soon.
