My Top Autumn Lip Colours for 2015

Top Autumn Lip Colours for 2015

Top Autumn Lip Colours for 2015

Autumn and Winter are the only times of year that I wear a lipstick, so I am excited to crack out some old favourites.  And some new goodies,  and share my top 6 Fall lip products for 2015 with you.  Starting at the top left of the picture above and working clockwise.

1. Stila Lip Glaze in Banana Berry – rrp £15

Stila is one of my all time favourite brands with the Lip Glaze being my most repurchased item.  The brush applicator is amazing, the consistency great, nice faint taste and smell (nothing plasticky) and good value for money.  Banana Berry is one of the more pigmented medium pink shades that are good for everyday/work/chilling with the girls. I recently found out you can buy Stila in Marks and Spencer’s new beauty sections or online here.

2. Pixi Beauty Mattelustre Lipstick in Plum Berry – rrp £14

A newbie to my collection, I have reviewed this a week or two ago so click here to read that  this is such a lovely colour and has great pigmentation with a really nice finish.  It doesn’t leave your lips dry and lasts for hours. You can buy online here.

3. Makeup Forever Aqua Lip in 19c – rrp £13

I don’t always use a lipliner but for reds and pinks it’s a necessity for me so the colour doesn’t bleed and I get a sharp crisp line.  19c Pomegranate Pink is a reddish pink so can be used to line the lips for pinks, reds or wine/burgundy shades meaning that you only need to buy the one lipliner.  It’s not a hard pencil like a Mac style one and is very pigmented so applies nicely and quickly without dragging at the skin. You can buy Makeup Forever from Debenhams.

4. Rimmel Provocalips in Kiss me You Fool – rrp £6.99

This is hands down my favourite full-on pillar box red lipstick.  It’s one of the standard longwear liquid lipsticks in that you apply the liquid lipstick, wait for it to dry and then you can apply the clear glossy topcoat that’s at the other end if you want to. I don’t use drugstore makeup very often but this is amazing, the shade is absolutely spot on and a ‘proper’ red that is amazing and always gets me lots of compliments.  A must have – you can get it at Boots.

5. Rimmel Apocalips in Celestial – rrp £6.49

Another Rimmel favourite is this longwear lip lacquer in the dark rose shade Celestial.  This lasts for hours and isn’t drying, has amazing pigmentation and is really easy to apply leaving your lips looking smooth and with a semi matte finish.  I use this all the time for work as it goes with every neutral makeup style I tend to do, it’s quick to touch it up in the afternoon and sometimes I wear it in the evening with the Stila Banana Berry lip glaze over the top.  You can also buy this from Boots or most other similar drugstores/chemists.

6. Burberry Kisses Sheer Lipstick in Midnight Plum – rrp £25

Another new product I have been loving that is out in store next month. I have done a full review with swatches here  but overall this is a gorgeous shade, has a really moisturising formulation, beautiful packaging and is another shade that brings a lot of compliments from other girls.

Overall

When I’m wearing these shades of lipstick I tend to stick to quite a neutral eyeshadow look.  Using either the Urban Decay Naked 2 palette or Nars Rajasthan eyeshadow duo.  I use Nars Mekong eyeshadow as a liner as it’s such a dark brown which has tiny flecks of shimmer so I think it gives a bit more interest than wearing black all the time.

For blush I love to use my long time favourite – Sisley’s Photo blush éclat in number 2 Pink Berry, a quick swish of Makeup Forever’s HD setting powder and I finish off with two coats of the absolutely amazing Diego Della Palma Ciglione mascara in black.
