As you know I love white teeth and am no stranger to teeth whitening. I have used at home products, had my teeth whitening ‘in office’ at the dentist and used many different tooth whitening toothpastes and treatments.

Our advanced whitening gel gives you a brighter smile which will boost your confidence and make you feel more comfortable with your appearance.” They also offer customers a money back guarantee if they are not satisfied with the results. Which is pretty good non? The cost is £99.99 for 48 applications so while it is pricey compared to crest whitestrips etc. which are popular but this is more of a dentist style product where the normal cost would be around £300 or so so I would say this is very good value.

Using the instruction manual you make your mouth guard fit your own mouth did take a little bit of time but it wasn’t complicated. You have to heat the moulds up with hot water then put them in your mouth – just follow the instructions step by step and it’s super easy. The effects
Mint recommend 1 x 30 minute application in the morning and 1 x 30 minute application in the evening; however, they say if you find it easier to do 2 x 30 minute applications back to back then do that. Well, personally I had enough trouble using the ones the dentist gave me in 2008 ever day and that wasn’t a fast acting gel like this, this I could only use for 30 minutes 3 times a week! So it took a bit of a while to work my way through the tubes of gel, but to be honest as long as you aren’t quaffing black coffee and red wine all the time in between treatments I don’t really see the problem. I would rather it take longer than my teeth be too sensitive. You really have to be sure not to overfill the trays – more gel does not equal whiter teeth so use it sparingly, you don’t want to get much or any on your gums if possible as it can make them very sensitive. You will need only 0.25ml on each mouth guard. If any gel squishes out then wipe it away from your gums with a cotton bud. Results I can visibly see that some small stains I had on my front teeth have gone and, since my teeth were whitened last in 2008 they do recommend that you do a top up every 2 years. I get a lot of comments about my teeth being white anyway but on Saturday a lady who I had never met before told me my teeth were ‘beautiful’ for real! I was so chuffed.
Overall if you are serious about teeth whitening but just cannot afford to spend dentist prices then I recommend this. Dentists (well honest ones) will tell you that the at home part of the whitening process is more effective as it is done over a period of time and gently removes the top stains and then deeper ones, whereas an in office or ‘laser’ whitening just uses the exact same type of gel but just a light to speed up the process. I really recommend this product and think it works really well. If there is one thing I think they could improve on it is to make the case for the mouth guard a lot easier to open as I had such trouble with my nails so I had to leave it permanently open.
